sherlock is chiefly skilled in deduction. this includes knowing a bit about a person from observing them-- their neuroses based on verbal or physical ticks, their job or class based on the way they move their hands, what they might be inclined to lie about. none of this is supernatural; everything he discovers has a logical, real-world basis that he has observed. how does this concern you? basically, tell me what's obvious about your character at a glance! or perhaps what is less obvious, but that one might be able to discern if they were paying attention. alternatively, is there anything you don't want sherlock to be able to figure out? let me know that here, as well. this can also be used for general plotting should the need arise.

Um well obviously it doesn't take a genius to work out Ian is drunk and stoned in our thread

Even though he's drunk and therefore swaying etc Sherlock can probably tell he's a fighter/very fit

He can probably also tell hes not as confident as he pretends to be and might be able to pick up that he's generally unhappy/angry

His accent is from Chicago
